Weekly Reading: 09/16/2019

Poverty mentality and limiting self-beliefs are strengthening your inner critic and blinding you to the power at your disposal. You are at a point now where your creativity, passion, and imagination have the potential to launch to a new high. Don’t let your doubts and fears hold you back. You have a chance to reach greatness.

This week’s homework:

  • Keep a log of your self-talk. You can set your phone or text reminder at random times during the day and jot down whatever thought is in your head at the moment when it goes off, or just write down your thoughts when you become aware of them. At the end of the day, read through your thoughts. Ask yourself, is this how you would talk to a loved one? A trusted employee or friend? A promising student? As you become aware of your self-talk, take note of how many times a day you choose not to try, not to create, not to be bold–all because of your negative self-talk.

Marianne Williamson famously wrote, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” How are you letting your own fears hold you back? How are you making yourself small?
