If you’re having a stressful day, try this mini-meditation to get a quick, easy rush of endorphins any time, any where!
Funny Bone Flashback (2 minutes)
Find a place where you can focus uninterrupted for a few minutes. You don’t need any special tools for this meditation, except a good imagination.
When you are settled, put one hand over your heart. Breathe deeply for 2-3 long breaths until you are settled.
Once you are calm, call to mind a time when you laughed out loud. We’re talking belly laugh–laughing so hard you begin to feel dizzy. Flash back to what caused that laugh, how you felt, who was with you. Picture it as clearly as you possibly can, with every detail you can feel.
You should feel laughter welling up within you. Let it bubble up, releasing positive endorphins throughout your body. When you’ve finished laughing, put your hand over your heart again, breathing deeply 2-3 times. Those good feelings should carry with you long after you’ve finished the meditation.
