Last week, the cards set a challenge for us–reach out to those with whom we may not have been connecting in the past few months. While the hope is that bridges were mended, the reality could be that it’s time for some relationships to end.
It’s tough to close doors behind us, and too often we keep those doors open far too long. Those bridges we don’t burn can become decrepit, dangerous, even deadly to our best interest.
Now it’s the time to take that energy you’ve been wasting on failed relationships and apply it to your best creative process. Like it or not, we only have a finite amount of energy and resources. Instead of throwing them at relationships that no longer work, how can you invest your time and energy into reaching your highest goals?
Spending too long in a dead or dying relationship increases self-doubt. If you are floundering in a space where you no longer know which path is best, stop for a moment and get your bearings. Cutting off dead weight gives you the space and energy to assess your situation and discover previously hidden opportunities. You are only as stuck as you allow yourself to be.
