Once again, the universe is tempting us to rush off with our heels blazing and our plans half-formed. It’s not hard, when you look at the daily headlines, to want to do something–anything.
The difference between success and failure can often be boiled down to a single decision made either wisely or not so wisely. In times of chaos, action of course is called for. But wisdom never hurt, either.
So many people feel unsteady, like we stopped straddling the edge of the cliff months ago and, like a cartoon character, just haven’t noticed yet that we’re hovering mid-air with no solid ground to stand on.
The fact is, we are in uncharted territory, and there is nothing in the guidebook to tell us where to go. Depending on your point of view, this can be terrifying or exhilarating. Choose the latter, if you can. Breathe deeply and step back for a moment. The time for action will come soon enough, but you’re best served by taking a pause if you can. The right path will present itself soon enough. This momentary pause will help you get your bearings so that when you do move, you can do it freely and with authority.
